Position Summary:

Join our mission-driven team at Children’s Mercy-Camber Olathe Hospital as the Clinical Director, starting no earlier than July 1, 2024. In this role, you'll guide therapeutic services for youth and families, collaborate with Psychiatry and Utilization Review, assist staff in evidence-based treatment and trauma-informed care, and manage community outreach and referrals in partnership with the Executive Director or assigned Site Leader.

Location:

• Olathe, Kansas

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling
• Documented coursework in child/adolescent development and individual, family and group counseling.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Valid auto insurance
• Must be at least 21 years old

Licensure (1 of the following):

• Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW)
• Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT)
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
• Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD)
• Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in supervising others in a mental health setting
• Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, navigating an electronic health record (EHR), Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience, post-clinical licensure in supervising clinicians providing individual, family and group therapy to youth in a mental health setting.

Essential Duties:

• Supervise therapists in acute hospital/residential programs.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to review techniques and case progress for professional development.
• Assign and reassign therapist caseloads.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Assist in policy establishment and program planning.
• Provide monthly metric reports to the Executive Director or KVC Hospitals team.
• Participate in staff recruitment, training, and evaluation.
• Consult with admissions on referrals and manage compliance audits.
• Offer on-call emergency consultation.
• Approve release of client information.
• Assist in marketing activities and outreach.
• Coordinate therapeutic care and treatment services.
• Serve as a liaison between consumers, families, and clinical staff.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary team meetings and implement evidence-based programs.
• Review critical incident reports and maintain supervision documentation.
• Act as primary contact for institutional placements and internships.
• Provide crisis intervention and liaise with admissions and utilization review departments.
• Conduct staff training and attend internal meetings.
• Assist with other duties as needed, including direct clinical services.
